An exciting, highly-interactive two-day session for real estate lenders focuses rigorously on soundness in underwriting real estate credits. Participants “live” through a real estate cycle, and identify key lessons learned. They focus on the importance of market analysis with strong and weak examples, enhance skills in testing the reasonableness of appraisal assumptions, reinforce skills in managing the risks in construction lending, and identify the key issues and risks for different types of real estate credits, including retail, single family, multi-family, condos, industrial, office and medical. The emphasis on risk identification is rigorous. Cases are selected to correspond to the type of credits in the bank’s portfolio.
